This week’s contest to win Bare Wires tickets was a grueling one—how much copy/paste can you take? We had tickets saved for whoever could send us the most “<3"s in an email, in honor of Bare Wires' romantic teenage scuzz-pop.

That seems easy but ... well, winner DARREN D. doesn’t stop at “seems!” Or “easy!” He sent us 329,728 little ASCII hearts! That probably took more time to do then it took us to interview them … or start L.A. RECORD in the first place. Congratulations, Darren. If you ever want to transcribe for us, please … just email. Second prize goes to the mysterious ANNA M., who turned in 81,696 <3s. That is pretty amazing and although she doesn't get the glory of first prize, at least her '3' and '<' keys probably still work.
