Did you know Phil Collins retired? We missed that news last week when we were making the new issue of L.A. Record.

“[Collins] has hearing problems, a dislocated vertebra and nerve damage in his hands, all brought on by a lifetime spent hunched behind a drum kit.”

oh, Phil.

“Land Of Confusion”

“Dancing With The Moonlit Night”

“I Know What I like In Your Wardrobe”

“Strangers Like Me” (yep, that’s right. the chorus is awesome.)

“One More Night” (with spanish translation)

“Another Day In Paradise” (featuring a wizard)

“Against All Odds”

“Groovy Kind Of Love”

“Easy Lover” (featuring a lot of old man fun)

“The songwriter also claims that listeners have grown “sick” of him and that there is no longer a place for him in the current music scene.”

I dunno, I kinda enjoyed these videos.

It’s too bad he can’t play drums anymore, and that his drumming has been overshadowed by a string of tacky pop hits (some of which are admittedly kind of awesome).
