People in Florida are going nuts over the Ed Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes songs that were stuck in our heads like 2 years ago. And this October, Ed Sharp & Co. will introduce the Dirty South to a band with a name that is almost longer than their own. Or is it? We can’t count, it’s too much like doing math.

He’s My Brother She’s My Sister, that tap-dancing bluesy vaudeville glamor in a backyard band from around the corner is going on their first national tour, opening for America’s favorite cult-inspiring hippies. (And is it ok to say we think they’ll steal the show?) This Friday night, He’s My Bro She’s My Sis plays with Charlyne Yi’s dynamic band Old Lumps at Redwood Bar and at the end of the month they’ll play at the Autry with Justin Townes Earle. They are full of wisdom: “Moooost women are crazy as hell…”
