This is the digital release of a compilation put together by Matt Adams of The Blank Tapes released on CD a couple years ago that compiles the recordings of a collective of musicians and artists in the Bay Area, California that Matt belongs to. Many of the artists represented on this comp play on each other’s albums and sit on each others live shows…

Over the past 4 or 5 years I’ve come to realize that my friends and I had formed somewhat of an exclusive collective of musicians and artists in the Bay Area, California. Not so much in that we didn’t allow outside people in, we just didn’t know anyone else. Out of necessity we ended up playing in each others’ bands and recording on each others’ albums. At one point I realized I was playing in as many as 15 bands (if not more!) and felt really strongly about my friends’ music. In fact it’s the only music I really listen to these days. So, last February (2008), I threw together a bunch of the songs we had all been recording and pressed a thousand CDs. – Matt Adams (The Blank Tapes)
