
This Saturday, July the 17th, more than 20 Southern California artists, photographers, and videographers will be featured in the first annual Videothing Art Show. This is not to be missed and will happening at theStrange Gallery at 4316 Melrose Ave. in Hollywood from 8pm to midnight. In addition to the exhibition of original art, video, and photography, all of which will be available for sale, two amazing bands will perform – Tearist and Graham Forest, the latter of which will be releasing a limited edition CD at the event. Mixed media performance art will also be presented throughout the evening.
The Videothing Art Show is being curated and organized by Los Angeles filmmaker Michael Reich, whose website Videothing.com has chronicled the punk and underground music/art scene in Los Angeles and elsewhere for the past four years. Michael has also contributed to L.A. RECORD in the past.
Work will be exhibited by Michael Reich, Casey Dzierlenga, Megan Whitmarsh, Bryan Ray Turcotte, Dr. Romanelli, David Lantzman, Matt Lamkin, Yasmine Kittles, Arlie Carstens, Malia James, Jeaneen Lund, Camille Mary Weiner, Jennie Warren, Cora Foxx, June Zandona, Forrest Borie, Rachel Carr, Blake Salzman, Jonny Bell, Will Canzoneri, Michael Stock, Melanie Willhide, Sophia Rubio, Otto Arsenault and others to be announced. All of the artists will be present at the event to discuss their work.
