Congrats to the Burger boys for further penetrating the American consciousness via NPR and Matador Records’ Gerard Cosloy! Carrie Brownstein conducted this conversation about the role and the future of the record label which concludes:

Carrie Brownstein: What are you nostalgic for from 10 years ago? What don’t you miss?
Gerard Cosloy: There’s some record stores I miss.
Maggie Vail : I miss some zines, magazines, record stores.
Robb Nansel: I’m nostalgic for an underground.
Gerard Cosloy: Here’s your underground: http://www.myspace.com/burgerrecords.
Mac McCaughan: Is that made up or real?
Gerard Cosloy: Real.

Real indeed—visit Burger’s store in Anaheim, read our interview with Sean Burger here and get the Burger mixtape here, too!
