White Noise is ecstatic to release the brand-new split 12” with Primal Scream and RTX each kicking in exclusive covers recorded according to instant whim during the winter 2008 Primal Scream/RTX tour of the United Kingdom.

Primal Scream contribute their first new song since 2008’s Beautiful Future—a monstrous reading of the Troggs’ primordial “I Want You,” delivered here with Primal Scream’s usual masterful mix of classic technique from all ages and disciplines. (Feel that extra kick at the head of the riff!) Plenty of screaming guitar and Bobby’s vocals just about drip out of the bottom of the turntable—this one is gonna stick to you!

RTX (whose recent JJ Got Live RaTX is just about a California classic) peel out their first new recording since a killer split with Monotonix and it turns out to be Randy California’s (Spirit) brutally epic “Nature’s Way.” Jennifer Herrema and unflappable backers turn in a slinky version of the Sardonicus stand-out with fearless production (sax and vocoder) and an extended finale that demands to be played on repeat for at least twenty minutes per day.

missed their show at the Airliner last time – went on the wrong damn nite! The doorman had a few tales about it – so, in summation, the usual mythological result, and I fucking flaked.
JJ, please rock the Los Angeles autumn equinox for us all!!
