Christine Hale (a.k.a. Love, Christine!) is one of our favorite artists and the illustrator who does our review comics and also draws quite a few of our bands, too. Today she sent us this picture and this note:
This is a picture of me that Michel Gondry drew today. I met him at a book fair and he drew my picture!!
Fucking amazing. I’m always drawing people and bands but to have my first portrait be drawn by him is so radical.
We agree, even if we don’t remember her having quite that same haircut… thanks to Christine for the picture and also Michel for the picture!

Whoa. I didn’t know this was posted!!! Hahah! Sorry for the french slang, it’s the Je ne sais Québécois influence. This actually happened in NYC; I was in town submitting work to some publishers (Cross yr fingers svp!)
He said:
“Lots and lots and lots of hair!”
And then I gave him one of my comics.
