The polaroid group show, “Spectrum” is opening tonight from 6-9pm at Sugar Salon/Azucar Gallery in Silver Lake.
address: 3022 Sunset Blvd, next to the Silverlake Lounge.
The 11 person show is al polaroids, as a celebration of the iconic discontinued format and its framing of our everyday life & extraordinary occurrences.
2 loud bands are going to be playing, Ghiant and the Mae Shi, and it will be a noisy and fun party.
Also coming up! Saturday, July 12th from 7-10pm at Monte Vista Projects in Highland Park.
This show is a 5 person exhibition of medium & large format photo works, and a video installation that the other artists and I have developed around the thesis of “Coastal States”: What it means to be in a coastal state within your family, neighborhood, and in your physicality.
This is a traditional gallery reception, although it will also be very fun as we will be BBQ-ing in the back, and there will be a wonderous DJ tag-team.
All the work was made by artists in the From Here To There art collective, based in Los Angeles.
