TRACK PREMIERE: WYLIE CABLE “PIROUETTE” (F. DAEDELUS)

August 22nd, 2018 | Listen

Dome of Doom label founder Wylie Cable has been working on a new solo record for two years, and now it’s finally about to surface. His coming Buried At Sea—with striking cover art by Wyatt Mills—is an album shot through with deep and even tragic personal experience. Think of it as a meditation on separation, up to and including Cable casting his father’s ashes into the ocean. New single “Pirouette” neatly captures those complicated feelings with precision assistance from local hero Daedelus (who joins Kenny Segal and Laura Darlington as features on Buried) and plenty of live instrumentation—it’s a track that swells and recedes with the rhythm of an uneasy sea. Cable’s Buried At Sea is out on Fri., Sept. 14, on his own Dome of Doom label, and you can pre-order vinyl/cassette/digital here!
