ALBUM PREMIERE: CHAKRA FVCKER “FVCK!” EP
Chakra Fvcker is Dome Of Doom co-founder and commander Wylie Cable and L.A. producer and cosmic marauder AHEE, and together they’re tearing a hole in time and space. The Fvck! EP—named for the noise you make when you cross the event horizon—is five mind-blown tracks that zig and zag like a UFO dodging a fighter jet. Every sound on Fvck! is drawn from AHEE’s comprehensive collection of sonic ephemera—field recordings from a planet not quite like ours—and each song was painstakingly assembled across six months by AHEE and Cable in the Dome of Doom studio. No emailing files either, they explain—everything on Fvck! was done in real life, which might explain why the music is so wild and delirious. (You just can’t get this feeling staring at a screen by yourself!) Fvck! is available now from Dome of Doom and a Fvck! sample pack of raw materials may be coming soon! More info here, and the story of Chakra Fvcker by Chakra Fvcker is below.
Chakra Fvcker is the twisted brainchild of Dome of Doom Records founder Wylie Cable and AHEE (Dome of Doom, Play Me Records, Impossible Records, Lucent Dossier).
Both having released a wealth of music under their own respective solo artist projects, and having worked closely together on many releases, Chakra Fvcker represents the first fully collaborative artistic effort from the two artists to create a completely new sonic world. AHEE mixed and mastered Wylie Cable’s most recent release and is featured as a co-producer on one of the heaviest songs, and Wylie has helped release over a dozen albums from AHEE’s catalogue over the past 6 years on his label Dome of Doom. ‘FVCK!’ is the debut EP from Chakra Fvcker and was created during studio sessions in Los Angeles at Dome of Doom HQ spanning over the past six months, all of the track were produced with both Ahee and Wylie in the studio together, no remote emailing of session files, and 100% of the sounds were designed and or recorded by the artists. Originally AHEE’s music focused on experimental found sound pieces, and as a result of this, Chakra Fvcker had an almost infinite supply of hand recorded unique sound and samples from AHEE’s personal archive which were used to create wave tables, synths, kicks, snares, pops, clicks and more.
There are plans to release a Sample Pack in conjunction with the EP release as a sort of ‘Open Source’ album, releasing all of the stems, processed drums, samples, soft synths, loops and wave tables used to create the album. Dome of Doom currently the #16 Label page on Splice in the top 100 labels, and launched at #20 on its first day. We are interested in pushing the envelope on how modern music releases can be received.
