But for those around in the nineties, all the bands that played at Hollywood Moguls and stuff were like full-on historically accurate surf or rockabilly or Back From the Grave-style garage bands. The Cramps were never just imitating Charlie Feathers or whatever, so they were kind of not the dominant style. I don’t think he’s saying the Boss Martians were better than the Cramps.
