Wow! I didn't think that black humor would be so misunderstood! But I think Thee Makeout Party actually grasped what I was doing here, which was expressing an opinion about an evening I had some two years ago in which I was so angry I actually felt this way. It happens folks. It's just music, it's just a show-and besides, that line made me laugh for five minutes straight when I wrote it, which means it's an automatic punch line. I was also hoping that the contrast between my comment and Devon's unflinching answer would demonstrate how two people can hold opposite opinions and still communicate. Or, maybe this is a subconscious piss take I have yet to properly examine. Either way, I value everybody's thoughts be it bad or worse. But I've got my eye on you.

Defense to Makeout Party, truly fantastic show at the Echo last night, beautiful pop music, better than Devon's show. Devon's was good but Makeout Party were better. No smashing of anyones face at all. C'mon Frankie, why throw the Makeout Party under the bus???
