VIDEO PREMIERE: NIGHTMARE AIR “SIGN OF THE TIMES”

September 13th, 2018

L.A. trio Nightmare Air make a special kind of synth-y shoegaze that seems to come from just a few minutes in the future, and their new video for "Sign Of The Times" is part tour diary and part augmented-reality extradimensional visitation, set to an expansively atmospheric track with a practically endless chorus. This video was shot (of course) by the band itself, and edited by Richard Wildeman with additional spinning-head related effects by Ryan Fruge. "Sign Of The Times" is on Nightmare Air's recent Fade Out album, available now from Nevado Music, and they'll be taking off on a national tour with the still-futuristic Gary Numan that climaxes with a closing show at the Fonda on Oct. 6. Full dates below!

VIDEO PREMIERE: NECTARINES “LIES”

August 31st, 2018

Long Beach's Nectarines (guitarist/vocalist Nima Kazerouni of So Many Wizards with bassist Zeynep Graves, keyboardist Jackie Yates and drummer Allie Bumsted) have a new video for their February single "Lies," in which a particularly catchy kinda break-up song turns into a scary story about bright light and empty graveyards, and about what might happen when nobody listens. (Spoiler: that graveyard gets a little less empty by the end of the video.)
