A break halfway through the set for the "Fake Muse Network" gave fans the best gift for the holidays: a stunning rendition of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," which turned into a group sing-along with the audience, and Amos's iconic version of "The Little Drummer Boy."

Psychedelic garage rockers Cosmonauts played a show at The Echoplex for the Angelinos who were still in town before Thanksgiving. We swayed to the soothing melodies of “Party At Sunday," shook our heads to the hypnotic beat of “Heavenspeak” and danced to the frenzied riffs of “Gillian."

hey leaned heavily on this year’s Every Country’s Sun, with weightless jams like “Coolverine” and “Party in the Dark” setting their sights on the dancefloor rather than the heavens. Not that they can’t hit those heights anymore – bandleader Stuart Braithwaite still burns through fan favorites like “Auto Rock” and “Hunted By a Freak” with the fervor and precision of a hopped-up metalhead, which wasn’t far off from the looks of powerhouse drummer Martin Bulloch’s Thin Lizzy shirt.
