Too retarded to be stoner rock, this reminds me of what the Godz might have sounded like if they’d taken after Blue Cheer and Cream instead of the Fugs and the Beatles. Probably fantastic to listen to on acid (sober, you’ll feel like you’ve been swigging cough syrup), this EP comes across like a simple jam by people who are just learning their instruments, but who might wow us all in two years with intricate Sabbathy grooves–or not! Drummer DD definitely has the Mo Tucker 2/4 cadence down pat, and singer/guitarist Ben sounds like he’s mumbling sweet nothings to the girl at the bottom of the pit in his basement.
